Hyatt hotels are cited from Baltimore to San Francisco for being among the “Best Places to Work:”

  • Hyatt was selected as the No. 2 place to work in Chicago in the Chicago Tribune’s “2012 Top 100 Workplaces” list following a survey of Chicagoland associates from eight area hotels and the company’s corporate headquarters.
  • Through a survey of associates, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place was selected by Crain’s Chicago Business as a top ten “Best Places to Work” and the No.3 “Top Workplace for Women” in Chicago.
  • Hyatt Regency Chicago won the 2012 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau serving Chicago & Northern Illinois for Category II (1,000 – 7,499 associates).
  • Hyatt Regency Dallas was featured in the midsize companies category in the Dallas Business Journal’s Best Places to Work 2012 list.
  • Grand Hyatt San Antonio and Hyatt Regency San Antonio were co-winners in the large category in the San Antonio Business Journal’s “Best Place to Work 2012” list.
  • Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport was recognized as the No. 1 place to work in the giant category in the Orlando Business Journal’s 2012 Best Places to Work competition.
  • Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch won the No. 1 spot in the medium category on the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2013 and 2012 Best Places to Work lists.
  • Hyatt Regency Austin Downtown on the Lake placed first in the large category for the Austin Business Journal’s “Top Ten Places to Work.”
  • Hyatt Regency O’Hare was listed as No. 2 in the midsize category in Chicago Tribune’s Chicago’s Top Workplace 2011 list. Hyatt Regency Chicago and Park Hyatt Chicago were also recognized on this list.
  • Hyatt Regency Santa Clara and Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport were selected in 2012 by vote of associates as a “Top Workplace for the Bay Area” by the Bay Area News Group. Hyatt Regency Santa Clara also received the honor in 2011.
  • Grand Hyatt San Francisco was recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Bay Area 2012” by the San Francisco Business Times. Grand Hyatt Denver was ranked No. 1 as the city’s 2011 Best Places to Work in the large category by the Denver Business Journal.

FORTUNE “100 Best Companies To Work For” in America, 2014

Hyatt’s U.S. subsidiary, Hyatt Corporation, was named to the FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For” list in America for the first time in 2014. The FORTUNE survey found that Hyatt associates credited the company with a collaborative environment, career growth opportunities and strong familial culture. The survey showed that Hyatt associates are proud of the work they do and how they can make a difference in the lives of guests.

Glassdoor “Top 50 Best Places to Work,” 2014

Hyatt was honored as one of the Top 50 Best Places to Work in 2014 by Glassdoor in its sixth annual Glassdoor Employee’s Choice Award. Glassdoor, a jobs and careers community website, compiles the annual award by relying solely on the input of employees, who voluntarily elect to provide feedback on their job, work environment and company through Glassdoor’s anonymous online company review survey. The Glassdoor Awards symbolize employees’ support for how their employers operate, drive culture and foster success.

Best Places to Work for the LGBT Equality, Human Rights Campaign, 2005-2014

For the tenth consecutive year, Hyatt Hotels Corporation has been named one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality” as a result of the 100 percent rating it earned on the 2013 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, which is America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization. Diversity Journals’ Women Worth Watching Award, 2013

Sara Kearney, senior vice president of brands at Hyatt, and Rena Reiss, general counsel and secretary of Hyatt, were awarded Diversity Journals’ Women Worth Watching Award for 2013. This recognition is given to leading female executives distinguished in their career or chosen field.

Gallup Great Workplace Award, 2013

Hyatt has been recognized with the 2013 Gallup Great Workplace Award for the second consecutive year. The annual award recognizes Hyatt for having some of the most engaged associates in the world.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation once again received this award for providing a positive work environment for people with disabilities.

Gallup Great Workplace Award, 2012

Hyatt was selected as a recipient of the 2012 Gallup Great Workplace Award, which is an annual award recognizing the best performing companies in the world. Hyatt was chosen as one of the top 27 organizations to receive this award because of its ability to create an engaged and productive workforce. A panel of workplace experts evaluate each leading company based on the following criteria:

  • Analysis demonstrating how the organization links engagement to business outcomes.
  • A strategic plan that highlights building engagement in the organization.
  • Concrete examples of two or three best practices or organization-wide initiatives created or used to increase or promote employee engagement.
  • Evidence of dedication on a workgroup level of driving engagement of associates.
  • An example of how engaged employees have made a difference with the organization’s customers.

Top 25 Diversity Council Honors Award, Association of Diversity Councils, 2012
Hyatt Hotels Corporation was recognized by the Association of Diversity Councils for a Top 25 Diversity Council Honors Award. The Association of Diversity Councils honors the outstanding contributions and achievements of council groups, who are carrying the banner and moving the diversity and inclusion process forward within their organization and demonstrating results in their workforce, workplace and marketplace. Hyatt named an IDEAL Employer in Universum’s 2012 Surveys
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts was named the top employer for hospitality management students, a top 30 employer for business undergraduates, a top 50 employer for liberal arts undergraduates, and a top 75 employer for students in Switzerland in the 17th annual Universum 2012 IDEAL™ Employer Surveys.
